$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install libopenhpi-dev 

libopenhpi-dev is installed in your system.

Make ensure the libopenhpi-dev package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libopenhpi-dev *

You will get with libopenhpi-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table

libopenhpi-dev package basic information:
